IB ECONOMICS TUTOR

Ms. Ho Sern Ling is a highly experienced  IB Economics examiner for HL Paper 2 and Extended Essay. She taught at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) (IBDP Section) and Temasek Junior College, with over twenty years of teaching experience in Economics.​ She attended the IB Economics Category 2 & 3 course in 2008 and 2015. Having seen the first cohort of IB graduates off since 2007, she has consistently guided her students to achieve DISTINCTION in Economics. 

Besides teaching responsibilities, she served as a cooperating teacher for National Institute of Education (NIE) trainee teacher whom she has mentored and passed along her teaching pedagogy and experiences during their practice teaching placements. In addition, she was appointed by the school as the Presiding Examiner (PE) for the International Baccalaureate (IB) examination in the November 2009 session. Having a passion in education, she was the school teacher counselor for higher education, providing advice for students in their applications for universities (both local and overseas).​

Currently, she provides IB Economics tuition, Extended Essay & Internal Assessment consults for students to excel in the subject. Her teaching focuses on engaging students to see the links between different concepts within a topic and across topics, and application of concepts to real world economic phenomenon. Lessons are carefully designed to help students acquire higher-order thinking skills in their learning process.
